I installed version 3.0 via composer require 'drupal/media_bulk_upload:^3.0' and it has the right entry in the composer.json file, however the media_bulk_upload.info.yml has 8.x-1.0-alpha27 defined via the Drupal.org packaging script. This is highly confusing and causes incorrect reports.
