I have manually reviewed this patch, and applied it to Entity Field Condition 8.x-1.2 successfully and tested it against Drupal 9.1.5 and confirmed it works. Moving to RTBC.

Note that without the patch, this module will not work on Drupal 9, even though on the front page the module states it is compatible. Therefore changing Category to Bug report, and Priotity to Major. I'd recommend committing this and rolling a new release as soon as possible.

Please consider making a new release.
It is very confusing that modules is declared compatible with D9, but doesn't work without this patch on D9...
