@AlexBorsody What should I do exactly ?

The path is not normal

I manually changed the path. This is a module bug, the path should not start with the domain name.

It's an issue with the redirect to the translation URL /fr https://www.s1biose.com/fr I'll have a patch coming for this.

Another busy day, how do you have the redirect to /fr setup and can you share the contents of your settings.php minus any login details. Is there anything custom in your htaccess?

zenimagine’s picture

I did not change anything in the .htaccess file

The language module is the kernel module (see screenshot).

settings.php :

<?php

/**
 * @file
 * Drupal site-specific configuration file.
 *
 * IMPORTANT NOTE:
 * This file may have been set to read-only by the Drupal installation program.
 * If you make changes to this file, be sure to protect it again after making
 * your modifications. Failure to remove write permissions to this file is a
 * security risk.
 *
 * In order to use the selection rules below the multisite aliasing file named
 * sites/sites.php must be present. Its optional settings will be loaded, and
 * the aliases in the array $sites will override the default directory rules
 * below. See sites/example.sites.php for more information about aliases.
 *
 * The configuration directory will be discovered by stripping the website's
 * hostname from left to right and pathname from right to left. The first
 * configuration file found will be used and any others will be ignored. If no
 * other configuration file is found then the default configuration file at
 * 'sites/default' will be used.
 *
 * For example, for a fictitious site installed at
 * https://www.drupal.org:8080/mysite/test/, the 'settings.php' file is searched
 * for in the following directories:
 *
 * - sites/8080.www.drupal.org.mysite.test
 * - sites/www.drupal.org.mysite.test
 * - sites/drupal.org.mysite.test
 * - sites/org.mysite.test
 *
 * - sites/8080.www.drupal.org.mysite
 * - sites/www.drupal.org.mysite
 * - sites/drupal.org.mysite
 * - sites/org.mysite
 *
 * - sites/8080.www.drupal.org
 * - sites/www.drupal.org
 * - sites/drupal.org
 * - sites/org
 *
 * - sites/default
 *
 * Note that if you are installing on a non-standard port number, prefix the
 * hostname with that number. For example,
 * https://www.drupal.org:8080/mysite/test/ could be loaded from
 * sites/8080.www.drupal.org.mysite.test/.
 *
 * @see example.sites.php
 * @see \Drupal\Core\DrupalKernel::getSitePath()
 *
 * In addition to customizing application settings through variables in
 * settings.php, you can create a services.yml file in the same directory to
 * register custom, site-specific service definitions and/or swap out default
 * implementations with custom ones.
 */

/**
 * Database settings:
 *
 * The $databases array specifies the database connection or
 * connections that Drupal may use. Drupal is able to connect
 * to multiple databases, including multiple types of databases,
 * during the same request.
 *
 * One example of the simplest connection array is shown below. To use the
 * sample settings, copy and uncomment the code below between the @code and
 * @endcode lines and paste it after the $databases declaration. You will need
 * to replace the database username and password and possibly the host and port
 * with the appropriate credentials for your database system.
 *
 * The next section describes how to customize the $databases array for more
 * specific needs.
 *
 * @code
 * $databases['default']['default'] = array (
 *   'database' => 'databasename',
 *   'username' => 'sqlusername',
 *   'password' => 'sqlpassword',
 *   'host' => 'localhost',
 *   'port' => '3306',
 *   'driver' => 'mysql',
 *   'prefix' => '',
 *   'collation' => 'utf8mb4_general_ci',
 * );
 * @endcode
 */
 $databases = array();

/**
 * Customizing database settings.
 *
 * Many of the values of the $databases array can be customized for your
 * particular database system. Refer to the sample in the section above as a
 * starting point.
 *
 * The "driver" property indicates what Drupal database driver the
 * connection should use. This is usually the same as the name of the
 * database type, such as mysql or sqlite, but not always. The other
 * properties will vary depending on the driver. For SQLite, you must
 * specify a database file name in a directory that is writable by the
 * webserver. For most other drivers, you must specify a
 * username, password, host, and database name.
 *
 * Transaction support is enabled by default for all drivers that support it,
 * including MySQL. To explicitly disable it, set the 'transactions' key to
 * FALSE.
 * Note that some configurations of MySQL, such as the MyISAM engine, don't
 * support it and will proceed silently even if enabled. If you experience
 * transaction related crashes with such configuration, set the 'transactions'
 * key to FALSE.
 *
 * For each database, you may optionally specify multiple "target" databases.
 * A target database allows Drupal to try to send certain queries to a
 * different database if it can but fall back to the default connection if not.
 * That is useful for primary/replica replication, as Drupal may try to connect
 * to a replica server when appropriate and if one is not available will simply
 * fall back to the single primary server (The terms primary/replica are
 * traditionally referred to as master/slave in database server documentation).
 *
 * The general format for the $databases array is as follows:
 * @code
 * $databases['default']['default'] = $info_array;
 * $databases['default']['replica'][] = $info_array;
 * $databases['default']['replica'][] = $info_array;
 * $databases['extra']['default'] = $info_array;
 * @endcode
 *
 * In the above example, $info_array is an array of settings described above.
 * The first line sets a "default" database that has one primary database
 * (the second level default). The second and third lines create an array
 * of potential replica databases. Drupal will select one at random for a given
 * request as needed. The fourth line creates a new database with a name of
 * "extra".
 *
 * You can optionally set prefixes for some or all database table names
 * by using the 'prefix' setting. If a prefix is specified, the table
 * name will be prepended with its value. Be sure to use valid database
 * characters only, usually alphanumeric and underscore. If no prefixes
 * are desired, leave it as an empty string ''.
 *
 * To have all database names prefixed, set 'prefix' as a string:
 * @code
 *   'prefix' => 'main_',
 * @endcode
 *
 * Per-table prefixes are deprecated as of Drupal 8.2, and will be removed in
 * Drupal 9.0. After that, only a single prefix for all tables will be
 * supported.
 *
 * To provide prefixes for specific tables, set 'prefix' as an array.
 * The array's keys are the table names and the values are the prefixes.
 * The 'default' element is mandatory and holds the prefix for any tables
 * not specified elsewhere in the array. Example:
 * @code
 *   'prefix' => array(
 *     'default'   => 'main_',
 *     'users'     => 'shared_',
 *     'sessions'  => 'shared_',
 *     'role'      => 'shared_',
 *     'authmap'   => 'shared_',
 *   ),
 * @endcode
 * You can also use a reference to a schema/database as a prefix. This may be
 * useful if your Drupal installation exists in a schema that is not the default
 * or you want to access several databases from the same code base at the same
 * time.
 * Example:
 * @code
 *   'prefix' => array(
 *     'default'   => 'main.',
 *     'users'     => 'shared.',
 *     'sessions'  => 'shared.',
 *     'role'      => 'shared.',
 *     'authmap'   => 'shared.',
 *   );
 * @endcode
 * NOTE: MySQL and SQLite's definition of a schema is a database.
 *
 * Advanced users can add or override initial commands to execute when
 * connecting to the database server, as well as PDO connection settings. For
 * example, to enable MySQL SELECT queries to exceed the max_join_size system
 * variable, and to reduce the database connection timeout to 5 seconds:
 * @code
 * $databases['default']['default'] = array(
 *   'init_commands' => array(
 *     'big_selects' => 'SET SQL_BIG_SELECTS=1',
 *   ),
 *   'pdo' => array(
 *     PDO::ATTR_TIMEOUT => 5,
 *   ),
 * );
 * @endcode
 *
 * WARNING: The above defaults are designed for database portability. Changing
 * them may cause unexpected behavior, including potential data loss. See
 * https://www.drupal.org/developing/api/database/configuration for more
 * information on these defaults and the potential issues.
 *
 * More details can be found in the constructor methods for each driver:
 * - \Drupal\Core\Database\Driver\mysql\Connection::__construct()
 * - \Drupal\Core\Database\Driver\pgsql\Connection::__construct()
 * - \Drupal\Core\Database\Driver\sqlite\Connection::__construct()
 *
 * Sample Database configuration format for PostgreSQL (pgsql):
 * @code
 *   $databases['default']['default'] = array(
 *     'driver' => 'pgsql',
 *     'database' => 'databasename',
 *     'username' => 'sqlusername',
 *     'password' => 'sqlpassword',
 *     'host' => 'localhost',
 *     'prefix' => '',
 *   );
 * @endcode
 *
 * Sample Database configuration format for SQLite (sqlite):
 * @code
 *   $databases['default']['default'] = array(
 *     'driver' => 'sqlite',
 *     'database' => '/path/to/databasefilename',
 *   );
 * @endcode
 */

 * the database rather than the file system. (This can be changed. See "Active
 * configuration settings" below).
 *
 * The default location for the "sync" directory is inside a randomly-named

 * Reverse Proxy Configuration:
 *
 * Reverse proxy servers are often used to enhance the performance

 * is behind a reverse proxy, the real IP address of the client should
 * be determined such that the correct client IP address is available

 * X-Forwarded-For header to the request that contains the client IP

 * malicious client could bypass restrictions by setting the
 * X-Forwarded-For header directly. Therefore, Drupal's proxy

 * specified in $settings['reverse_proxy_addresses'] to work correctly.

 * Enable this setting to get Drupal to determine the client IP from

 * If you are unsure about this setting, do not have a reverse proxy,
 * or Drupal operates in a shared hosting environment, this setting
 * should remain commented out.
 *
 * In order for this setting to be used you must specify every possible
 * reverse proxy IP address in $settings['reverse_proxy_addresses'].
 * If a complete list of reverse proxies is not available in your
 * environment (for example, if you use a CDN) you may set the

Why did you include the domain name in the path of the icon ? Normally it should be a uri

The PWA does not work if there is no icon.

zenimagine’s picture

@AlexBorsody

If I uninstall and reinstall the module, the default logo works. If I download my logo, it does not work. There is a serious problem with the path.

zenimagine’s picture

Title: The logo is not displayed in the configuration » The path of the logo is not correct
mrpauldriver’s picture

Actually. I came across a similar issue when testing the earlier dev version.

https://www.drupal.org/project/pwa/issues/3060759#comment-13159276

I was not able to figure out why it was happening, but the problem went away after patching.

mrpauldriver’s picture

Priority: Major » Normal

@zenimagine There is probably no need to change the priority of this issue, especially when the module is under heavy development and when commonly known workarounds exist.

https://www.drupal.org/core/issue-priority

zenimagine’s picture

@MrPaulDriver When I load the logo of my site in the confguration of the PWA module, the uri is not correct (There are 2 times the domain name
) :

https://www.example.com/fr/admin/config/system/example.com/sites/default/files/pwa/logo-petit-512x512l.png

Normally it should look like :

https://www.example.com/sites/default/files/pwa/logo-petit-512x512l.png

If I back up my server and restore it on the dev.example.com subdomain, it works.

As I have not changed anything in my configuration, I really do not see where the problem comes from.

Do you have a track ? Thank you

https://dev.example.com :

https://i.stack.imgur.com/5Vlcu.png

The dev server is a server clone www

I compare the 2 but I do not see any difference that could be the cause of the bad url

mrpauldriver’s picture

I am sorry but I don't know.

Best to wait for @AlexBorsody to circle back round and take another look.

In the meantime, have you tried completely uninstalling the PWA module, clear cache, update your database and then reinstall?

mrpauldriver’s picture

Question: Did you have the earlier dev version installed prior to the new beta?

If so, I might be a good idea to unregister any service workers from your devices. This is fairly easy with dev tools on a desktop See this article.

Unregistering service workers from a mobile device is trickier. For Android is necessary to enable usb debugging. I expect there is a similar thing for iOS.

zenimagine’s picture

@MrPaulDriver Hi, I just tested. I use Firefox to administer my site, I uninstalled the service workers and downloaded the logo but the problem is the same.

I opened a problem, to know if it comes from my server :

https://drupal.stackexchange.com/questions/284054/the-uri-of-the-image-i...

It's very weird because dev is a clone of www

alexborsody’s picture

I uninstalled the www site module and I unsubscribed the service workers. I have reinstalled the version RC1 module and still the same problem.

I compare DEV and WWW but I do not see the problem.

Desperate :-(

zenimagine’s picture

Has anyone tested the module on a site that starts with https://www.

mrpauldriver’s picture

Yes https://www. is normal

zenimagine’s picture

@MrPaulDriver OK, thanks. I continue my search but I have no clue.

I'm running out of ideas, if anyone has tracks ?

Uninstalled and reinstalled the module does not solve the problem.

Unsubscribing service workers does not solve the problem.

Changing the subdomain of the site solves the problem but I want to keep www

Try this patch to the latest dev version, maybe it will work as-is, otherwise, follow these steps to help debug.
If it works I'll re-roll without the debug statements.

1. Update image - and go to manifest.json and send a screenshot.

2. Update ConfigurationForm.php with the patch attached.

3. Show screenshot of the PWA config page and console.

4. Update the image again - and take a screenshot of the manifest file.
