Sessions, contribution, connection, and Early Bird savings until 8 June.We have a few topics that include instructions to drag items to order them. These instructions cannot be followed by all users. I think we should also include a sentence or two explaining how to turn on row weights and order items by row weight. The topics that come to mind are the ones about setting up content edit forms, content display modes, and ordering items in a menu.
I don't think there is anything else in the User Guide that needs this type of modification... although we use the word "click" for buttons, I think that is understandable by those using mouseless browsing.

jhodgdonI did a search in the user guide source files. We are using the word "drag" in 6 topics, which I think all need a sentence or two added about an accessible alternative:
block-place.txt
menu-concept.txt - I don't think we need to change this. It already says you can reorder menu items by changing weights or dragging
menu-reorder.txt
structure-content-display.txt
structure-text-format-config.txt
views-create.txt
So, here's a patch. It adds an explanation of how to turn on row weights to each of these topics (except the concept one that I don't think we need to change), and also makes the language about dragging the crosses the same for each topic (they all used slightly different terminology).
One note: On some admin pages, the numerical weights are in a drop-down list; on others it is an open text field. So I used the word "select" for the ones in a select list, and "enter" for the ones in a text field.
Another note: The alternative method for configuring buttons for CKEditor is not the same and you don't have to click "show row weights" to enable it.

eojthebraveGreat idea. I like that this makes the content more accessible, and also highlights Drupal's accessibility. I did some searches for words like "drag", "order", and "reorder" and didn't find any spots that you didn't already update. So I went ahead and comitted the patch. Thanks!
