It has been a while since the last release of the User Guide (Sept 2016). The ebooks are out of date.

All of the User Guide Content issues are now fixed, plus #2859434: PDF formatting tweaks, so I built the e-books and made a new release today. 8.x-2.1 should be available on the User Guide project page within a few minutes (once the tarballs are built by the d.o packaging scripts).
