Hi,
Thank you for this great module providing a very clean and easy-to-use interface. I have installed the latest dev version today and need help with the following queries:

  1. Is there anyway to set sitewide default for 'detailed settings' which is available under individual user/*/notify
  2. 'Notify new comments' is disabled for new users by default. Is there any way to set it 'enabled' default for new users.
  3. How to bulk enable 'notify' for existing users.

(Went through the issue queue for 7x, but couldn't find the answers)

Currently, there is no way to do the things you things you ask about.

However, I've see the usefulness of these things and shall add these features as soon as I've finished fixing the remaining bugs.

I've just pushed version 7.x-1.0-alpha8 of Notify to the repo: https://drupal.org/node/2248091

It adds a tab named ("Defaults") to set the initial defaults for the "detailed setting" and adds a tickbox to th "Users" tab to bulk subscribe existing users.

See the file README.txt about how to access the new features.
