views grid is responsive only with content pane display

Hi there,
I have read in the README.txt, under "BONUS FEATURES" section

* Views Grid
Any view that is made with the grid display and that has an amount of columns
that can evenly divide 12 will be automatically responsive.

As far as my project is going - a panopoly based site - this is true only if the views grid is in a content pane display.
If this is the case, it could be added to the doc in the readme (this would be my minor feature request).
Or maybe you think this should be taken for obvious, in the panopoly/panels philosophy. I'm a beginner, I know.
