Reproducible when:
Comment Subject (on comment admin page): Disabled
Comment_subject module: enabled.

The comments that are edited get stripped off their title. Only "Re:" is left out. Maybe something on the form_alter hook that is not handled, I guess, is causing this. On preview it works fine.
