How to setup Two Factor Authentication for End Users

A simple step-by-step configuration guide to set up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) on the Drupal site, for End Users.

Prerequisites:
- The miniOrange 2FA module is installed on your Drupal site. (Follow Installation steps)
- The module is activated using a miniOrange account. (You can register with miniOrange here.)
How to Setup 2FA for End Users:
- Navigate to the 2FA Policy for End Users tab to configure the 2FA methods for all other users.
- Under the General 2FA Settings section, enable the Enforce 2FA to end users checkbox.
- Scroll down and click on the Save Configuration button.
- Then click on the Set Up Available 2FA Methods link.
- You will get one popup where all 2FA methods are present.
- You can choose the TOTP, OTP, or Other methods for End Users.
- Once done, click on the Submit button.
How to allow only specific 2FA methods for configuration:
- Navigate to the 2FA Policy for End Users tab.
- Click on the link Set Up Available 2FA Methods in front of the Enforce 2FA to end users checkbox. A popup form will be open.
- Select the required 2FA methods and click on the Submit button.
User Experience:
- Open a new browser/private window, and go to the Drupal site’s login page.
- Enter the user credentials.
- After the correct credentials, the user will be asked to select preferred 2FA methods. You can configure this method here.
- Then follow the instructions on the screen to configure the 2FA method.
- If the 2FA method is configured successfully, the users will be logged in to the site.
