Paragraphs Usage Manager can scan selected entity types for paragraph reference fields.

This allows site builders to control the scope of the module and avoid scanning entity types that are not relevant to their project.

Entity type scope

Go to:

  • Administration » Configuration » Content authoring » Paragraphs Usage Manager

On the General tab, select the entity types that should be managed by the module.

Entity type scope settings showing Content and Paragraph selected as managed entity types.

Common choices include:

  • Content
  • Paragraph

Depending on the project, you may also enable other fieldable entity types such as taxonomy terms or custom entities.

Only selected entity types are scanned by the global usage matrix and by the single paragraph type usage pages.

Recommended configuration

For most projects, start with:

  • Content
  • Paragraph

This covers regular content types and nested paragraph fields.

You can enable more entity types later if your project uses paragraph reference fields on other entities.
