Basic usage

How it works:

After installing the module, all functionality is ready to use.

1. View a user profile

When you open a user’s profile page, you will see the Friendship action link.

Note: The labels for the friendship action states (such as “Follow”, “Unfollow”, and others) can be overridden on the following configuration page: /admin/config/people/friendship-settings

The placement of the Friendship action link can be adjusted on the following page: /admin/config/people/accounts/display

2. Follow a user

Clicking Follow subscribes you to that user. Once subscribed, the action link will automatically change to Unfollow.

3. Accept a follow request

When a Drupal user opens the profile of someone who has followed them, they will see an Accept request link.
After accepting the request, both users become friends.

Important note

In practice, it can be difficult to notice that someone has followed you without a dedicated page or block showing your followers.
To solve this, you can create a View that displays users who follow you. Read more about how to set up a follower's view in the documentation.
