Customization

You can completely customize the input form... first start by going to the /admin/settings/biblio page and clicking on "Fields" tab. On this page you can set parameters which are common to the fields across all publication types. If a field on this page is set to "common", it will appear on the input form of ALL publication types.

Once you have made all the "global" type changes on this form, you should click the "Publication Types" tab. On this page you can hide the various types of publications, and if so desired, you can create your own types. If you click the edit button next to any of the types, you can further refine how the input form for each individual type will look. By unchecking the "visible" box next to a field, then it will not show up on the input form. If a field on one of the type specific pages is "grayed" out then that means that is have been declared "common" on the "admin/settings/biblio/fields" (Fields) page.

I think this gives you all the flexibility to customize the input forms to your hearts content, but if you find you still can't create the type of input form you desire, let me know and I'll see what else can be done.
