Installation

This Day in History installs the standard way:

1. Download the module from the project page: http://drupal.org/project/thisdayinhistory
2. Extract the files into the appropriate module directory
3. Enable the module at: Administer > Site building > Modules

Configuration

Access Control

This Day in History provides the following permissions:

• administer this day in history
• create historical events
• edit own historical events
• promote historical events to block

You should configure these roles as required by your site at:

    Administer > User management > Access Control

Taxonomy Terms

This Day in History supports taxonomy terms (i.e. Categories or tags) for selection of Historical Events. The taxonomy vocabularies must be manually configured. You can use an existing vocabulary or create a vocabulary just for This Day in History.

If you wish to use taxonomy:

1. Go to: Administer > Content management > Categories
2. If creating a vocabulary just for This Day in History, add your new vocabulary using "Add Vocabulary" link, otherwise edit the vocabulary you wish to apply
3. Fill out the options per your requirements and insure "Historical event" is selected under "Types"
   
   
4. Submit
