Maxlength History
Way back on April 28, 2007 Marius Scurtescu (mariuss) created the Maxlength module for Drupal 5. It was inspired by functionality found in the ed_classified module.

Alex (a_c_m) joined the project that same year, enhancing the Drupal 5 version.
In 2009, Daniel Wehner (dawehner) helped create Maxlength 2.x for Drupal 6. Aron Novak joined the 2.0 efforts, helping it reach a beta 2 release.
In 2011, Michael Schmid (Schnitzel) lead the effort to port the module to Drupal 7.

In 2019, Greg Knaddison (greggles) released Maxlength 3.3 for Drupal 7, addressing a critical security flaw.
