The Google Analytics Counter block [8.x-3.0]

Note: this guide was written for an outdated version of Google Analytics Counter which used Universal Analytics only.
Starting on July 1, 2023, standard Universal Analytics properties stopped processing new data, and there is no longer access to the Universal Analytics interface and API starting on July 1, 2024.

The module also includes a themeable block which contains the pageview count. Placing the Google Analytics Counter block in a theme region is the same as adding any other block to a theme region.
- Run Cron.
- Go to /admin/structure/block.
- Click a Place block button in the region to which you would like to add the Google Analytics Counter block.
- In the Filter by block name field, type Google.
- Click the Place block button in the row with the Block name Google Analytics Counter.
- Make any other adjustments to the block in the Configure block form.
- Click Save block.
