Currently, DS 7.x-1.x does not support responsive panel layouts that come with the layout module. I'm referring to the case where a view is rendering rows of articles which have a responsive panel layout using Display Suite (using DS Extras views display). See also http://drupal.org/node/1771872.

Although DS 7.x-2.x has kind of support, it currently does not work with the layout module. So I decided to apply a quick fix for 7.x-1.x, primarily for myself, but I put it here in case anybody comes looking.

Do you want me to commit it ? I don't use panels on view modes anymore, but the patch seems harmless, so no problem for me in the end :)
