I have always had a passion for technology generally, and communications technology in particular.

Starting my legal career just as the Internet started to catch on, I have enjoyed the opportunity to help clients through the first dot.com boom, survive (or escape) the subsequent crash, and with the establishment of legal.consult as an innovative law, technology and communications consultancy firm, we are working to help the new (web 2.0) breed of innovators to reach their full potential (including ourselves).

My passion for the technical and commercial aspects of online interaction, in addition to the legal, led me to establish Internet consultancy MixedMedia Consulting in Hong Kong in 1998. After returning to Australia, I continued to develop online communications tools for clients while I focused on my legal career.

In 2005, I decided I did not want to be just helping on the sidelines of the next dot.com boom. legal.consult has been established not only to help clients achieve success by sharing their intellectual property, on various terms, but also to develop our own technologies and platforms that enable us and our clients to effectively communicate and generate income online.

I have a particular interest in and commitment to helping communities, whether industry associations, open source development communities, charities, political parties, church groups, educational institutions and corporate organisations, who want to effectively engage with their constituents and business partners.
