Paul Keogan (pkeogan)

Paul Keogan, Founder and Principal at BackOffice Thinking, has been a leading technology consultant for almost 20 years. Paul initially worked with Fortune 500 and fast-growing software companies, and since 2006, with the founding of BackOffice Thinking, he has worked primarily with nonprofit organizations.

Paul’s passion is to transform his client's use of technology to better serve and engage their constituents, grow their donor base, and run their organizations more effectively. He consults with nonprofit executives on technology, finance, and communication strategy and, with the BackOffice Thinking team, has led numerous software selection, design, and implementation projects throughout the U.S.

Prior to founding BackOffice Thinking, Paul was Principal, COO, and CFO at Fusion Technologies, a technology consulting firm with close to 250 employees at the time of its sale in 2006. Previously, Paul was the global operations planning manager for ARCO Chemical's Performance Chemical division. He has worked at ARCO Chemical, Merck, and DuPont where he held various financial, manufacturing, and business leadership roles in both the US and Europe.

Paul earned a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School. He serves as a National Advisory Council Member at Villanova University, is a frequent speaker at nonprofit conferences and events, and volunteers with his church's food cupboard where he delivers groceries monthly to those in need.
