This document will walk you through the steps required to assign your users roles in Drupal based on their Groups in your LDAP / Active Directory Server.
For example, let’s assume that you have an LDAP group named testGroup and a Drupal Role named Developer. In that case, you can assign the Drupal Role Developer to the users present under the testGroup in the LDAP server when those users log in to your Drupal site using their LDAP credentials.
