Fetch New Content plus only run when new content is available.

Hi,

Would it be possible for it to fetch and somehow add new content into the stream as it becomes available? Also, to have the stream run only when new content becomes available, thus avoiding the loop? This would be highly essential to overcome the lack of real-time skills on Views.
