I just noticed on line 47 of swftools_swfobject2.module that it references http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/swfobject/2.2/swfobject.js. This fails any https attempts. Would it break the module if it was switched to reference https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/swfobject/2.2/swfobject.js?

I'm a bit of a newbie...so thought I'd quantify that statement. :)
