This first release of the 3.x branch includes the following major improvements over the 2.x branch:

• Permissions are setup so that fields can be hidden from everyone except administrators
• Content type-specific settings have been moved to content type forms
• Support for more fields has been added
• Support for comment and taxonomy fields has been added

Upgrading from 2.x to 3.x is supported. Run update.php to migrate permissions and settings.
