I came across this module and would like to better understand its function. Can anyone help me?
I am having difficulty with two things.
First, on the module page it is good how it explains if you need finer-grained control and the option of "Group members only" and it is not hard to imagine use cases where the additional option would be useful.
So why wouldn't this be a feature to add to og views arguments?
As I try to understand this I find myself getting lost in trying to understand the implications of Views that are arguments and those that are not but use this plugin.
Gosh, with arguments still being a challenge for me, I found my head spinning.
OG access already seems to do a good job of displaying content to the right users so if the "members only" option was introduced then presumably the only exception would be user1.
Secondly, on the description page there is also the line "I found it useful to be able to explicitly check for the case where the user is NOT a member of the group - and thereby be able to show a completely different view to non-members". This sounds like an example application, being able to show different views to group members and non-members. If og arguments included the extra option could this be done using arguments? You may still need two views. I'm not sure that either method would allow you to create conditional views.
I guess I'm left wondering if a simple feature request to og arguments would be the best approach?
Thanks,
Izzy
