If views is enabled, the module should implement something similar to the following:

  • <view_namespace> - links to the first node/item/element in a view
  • <view_namespace[-first|last|8]> - links to the corresponding element within a view, only one of the strings in the brackets are used
  • <view_namespace[-first[-view_display]]> - links to the corresponding element within a view
  • <view_namespace[-first[-view_display[-arg1|arg2|arg3]]]> - links to the corresponding element within a view given some arguments, all specified args would be supplied to the view. Separated by pipes since args can contain hyphens

this is simply an idea on the syntax and I welcome other peoples alterations. It may also be acceptable to do something similar in syntax to the way that insert view module works, http://drupal.org/project/insert_view
