One way to make this very desirable is to incorporate into the Views module. Specifically, when users configure a View to be organized by taxonomy ID or name, then the view will show a list of taxonomy terms. It would be nice that each term of this list of taxonomy terms has a love/hate count on it.

To make it even better, allow the ability to sort the taxonomy according most loved/hated terms.
