"The lmo backend in drupal is still broken in some cases..."

What does this mean?

In the "lmo.common.inc" code it seemed that you guys simple add this message in every way the backend pages are loaded.

And what should this mean?

$lmo_url = substr($lmo_url,1);

When using this code the first paragaph of the produced urls is missing.
