I want to make 2 things on website I'm working on.

I've got implemented Google Maps Tools which displays 4 different content types in different markers.
Now I want to use checkboxes to have it displaying different variations of content types.

The second thing I want to be able to search by zip code or address and display i.e. 10 closest results on the map.

Do I have to code it or there are already built in functions in Google Maps Tools module to do it. There is really no tutorial (book or anything else) about using GMT module.
Also I can use Gmap module if it would be easier.
