Could we have an option to specify the unit to display the calculated distance?

Currently, the output on the view is a floating point distance in meters, which is not always so useful.

For some reason, the query also formats the field as text. I assume this is by intention.

Workaround Hint: As a user, you can clean things up a little by specifying that you want the field shortened to 9 characters, split on word boundaries. This will eliminate the characters after the decimal.

What units? to be congruent with the filter's units, we should at least have meters, kilometers, miles.
You might also consider knots, feet, yards, for the three remaining countries in the world that refuse to leave the stone-age. :-)
