As any user, the Today's History display does not any data if there is no active timer.

Description of Behavior

1. Start any timer
2. Stop that timer
3. Open the History dropdown on the timer widget
4. Observe that the time spent on all tasks is 00:00:00

Expected Behavior

I would expect that the time display is always accurate, regardless of timer state.
