Hi, Im very new to views so sorry if this is a stupid question... or and already documented one and I've missed it.

Im using the grid view to show a list of artist names. The view is restricted to 42 names per page (3 columns of 14) In alphabetical order. Full pages look great with all 42 names in correct sort order, starting with the left column, then the center, then the right. However, if the page isn't full of data, the first column wont fill before moving to the second. Is there a way to fix this? Id simply like the first column to fill all 14 cells in the desired sort criteria before moving to the second column and then of course the third.

Thanks.

filthypixel,
Take a look at #956586: How to fill 1st column then 2nd column instead of filling row first?

Feel free to reopen this issue if you still need help.

Assigning this to myself because maybe it needs to be documented.

I checked the link but the solution doesn't quite solve my issue. With and without the checkbox for single line enabled, pages in the view with less than 42 node titles (ie. the last page in the view (& the first page if I have less than 42 nodes)) still fill up by row first. The checkbox seems to only enable reordering of the nodes to simulate the view being populated one column at a time left to right. Is that whats happening or do I have it all wrong?

Hi, is this still active for you?
I would fix this to clean queue. Please reopen it, if you want to work further on it.
Otherwise it would be closed automatically after two weeks.
