Post teaser text beside thumbnail image

I have a Blog I am working on. When I go to the main page of my blog it lists all my posts in teaser format. I have created thumbnails using imagecache, and CCK fields. The thumnails work, however, I would like to display the thumnails all down the left side of the page with the text to the right. so you would have this

Very similar to a threaded forum with Avatars to the left and text to the right.

Do you know how I can do this with contemplate?
