DrupalChat currently doesn't support anonymous users.

mkmk commentedIs there an estimate on when this feature will be available?
fenda commentedI would like to get some more views on this. Should we support anonymous users at all?
The current structure of DrupalChat heavily relies on a user being authenticated.
jrpowell01 commentedyes. i like the chat but would love this feature. it give anonymous users a better feel for the features and community of the website.
darklrd commentedThis feature will be supported in future but it will take time.
Michsk commentedI to think one day this could be a option in this module but not right now. We now need to get the new version up.
fenda commentedAnyone know a decent way to implement this? Perhaps previous modules have done this.
We would have to create sessions or temporary users. Sounds a bit dodgy to me =P

matthewfcarlson commentedI believe if you use the session API module it will work in non support mode.
