Hello,

It seems that anonymous users do not see the chat module at all.

I have verified that the Drupalchat block is enabled for anonymous, authenticated, and administrator users. I have also verified that anonymous users have the "access drupalchat" permission enabled.

Still, Drupalchat is not available for anonymous users at all.

Hi mkmk,

DrupalChat currently doesn't support anonymous users.

Is there an estimate on when this feature will be available?

I would like to get some more views on this. Should we support anonymous users at all?
The current structure of DrupalChat heavily relies on a user being authenticated.

yes. i like the chat but would love this feature. it give anonymous users a better feel for the features and community of the website.

This feature will be supported in future but it will take time.

I to think one day this could be a option in this module but not right now. We now need to get the new version up.

Anyone know a decent way to implement this? Perhaps previous modules have done this.
We would have to create sessions or temporary users. Sounds a bit dodgy to me =P

I believe if you use the session API module it will work in non support mode.
