The Node: Title field should have the "Link this field to its node" checked by default, just as the User: Name field has the "Link this field to its user" checked by default.

95% of the time when I'm adding a field for node title, I want it linked.

I'm not sure if this will be accepted (maybe there is a reason to leave it disabled by default), but IMO makes sense. Here is a patch.
