Both the core menu editing form and menu_editor have a problem:
Items with an invalid path are not shown.
Example: Change the path of a view -> all associated menu items are lost (if these have been manually created with either menu_editor or core menu editing).

It would be helpful if menu_editor would show orphan menu items to people with permissions, so one could fix the broken paths.
