In node add , if I do not select a term with HS - I can click any of the vertical tabs with no problem.
But after selecting a term, clicking on any of the vertical tab makes the edit warning pop-up.

The cause of bugs is that when you change hierarhical select item js-script "Node edit protection" module called again.
I created patch for this bug.
