I'm new to Drupal, and have been using Views for about a year. It's a fantastic module.

I can't find any other mention of this issue: that the Update default display button is in the default spot instead of the Override button -- it seems backward to me. I have spent hours this year repairing views where I accidentally updated the default display and changed all of the other displays' settings tied to the default.

A valid response to this post would be to tell me to learn the interface better.

Still, my RFE is that there would be a flag (checkbox) added to Lock the Default Display settings, so that any thing you create in a display other than the Default will automatically Override and not change the Default Settings.

It's a simple change that would save me and hopefully everyone a lot of time.

Thanks.
