Taxonomy update fails to update in Profile Field [#896410]

When I update a taxonomy vocabulary, the select list created in the profile doesn't reflect the changes to the taxonomy. Specifically, I have user "teams" defined by name in taxonomy. I add a new team name, and the select in the user profile still shows the old list. I have only been able to reflect the change by deleting the field from the profile, re-adding it, then re-adding it in views, pages, etc. Then it has to be manually updated in each user's profile. This clearly is too much to ask of users assigned to the task of managing the teams.

Is there a work-around that will show current items from taxonomy?

I am also facing similar issue. Once the field is created it isn't updating the terms I am adding in Taxonomy. Even if I go to edit fields page and update the terms manually, it's showing me the old terms only. It's not adding the new terms added.
Any solution for this???

I have the same problem. The new terms show up when I'm editing but they don't get saved.

I work around it by editing the profile field, clearing out the selection options (mine is a list selection) by choosing "none selected", saving the field, then re-editing it and selecting my vocabulary again. That seems to make the changes stick for me.
