I'm not sure where this functionality/special-casing was located, but you no longer can halt or cancel a batch by pressing the escape key on your keyboard.
That's very important functionality and must be restored.

marcvangendI didn't know about this feature yet, but when I interrupt a batch process in D6 (I tried 500 nodes with Devel Generate), it looks more like an error than a proper interrupt function (see screenshot attached). Is that the behavior you are referring to, or do you see something else when pressing ESC?

sunThat's the behavior I'm referring to. It interrupts with an error. I still have no idea where this behavior was/is coming from.

marcvangendMe neither, I've been searching but I can find anything explicitly targeting the ESC key (or key code 27 for that matter). To me it seems like a bug that was (unintentionally?) fixed - but of course that doesn´t mean that we cannot bring back the feature.

sun.core CreditAttribution: sun.core commentedAlthough I'm too often running into the problem of mistakenly starting a batch process, this issue kinda stretches the major priority too far.
