Changing the promo layout – the style
By default, each promo is presented with a large image followed by the heading and the kicker + lead text. To create a varied topic list, editors may want to change the way promos are presented – for example to have a narrower image with text on the side. This is done by changing the promo style.
The easiest way to change a promo style is to go to the topic editor and click edit for the relevant promo. This opens the edit page for the promo, where one of the options is style. In a standard NodeStream installation there are three options available:
- Top attachment, large alternating: This gives a promo where the image is in full column width, followed by the heading, kicker and lead. Any child promos (see promo groups) are shown with images alternating between left and right side. This is the default promo style.
- Top attachment, large grid: This style is identical to the default style above, but any child promos are displayed in a grid layout.
- Left attachment, small grid: This gives a promo where the image is in half column width on left side, with heading, kicker and lead on the right side. Any child promos are displayed in a small grid lahout.

The default promo style displays images in full width.

You can change the style for each promo individually.

Different styles displays promos in different styles. Here is "left attachment, small grid".
Note: More styles can be added by any Drupal developers, but can currently not be configured from the web interface.
