Would be cool to also allow the usage of location (Country, city, province, postal code) and Proximity provided by the location module on the Search Box.

I am very much interested in this functionality too. We're in the process of developing a new site that is driven by location-based searches. We recently switched to using OpenLayers (instead of Location/Gmap), but we can switch back if Location integrates better with this module and Apache Solr.

If the Apache Solr module already integrates/indexes Location's data, that shouldn't be a problem.
If so, tell me the url to use, and what is the query string I need to build to use it correctly, and I'll add the selectors.
