Hi!
Is this a views issue, a statistics issue or me? Hopefully the latter!
My development site in Drupal 6.17 has various modules installed and enabled and, looking through the log files, everything is working fine. My site has some test content and I've enabled the built-in "popular" view to list the most popular content. I've also enabled the core Statistics module and, under Access Log settings, have enabled the access log. Indeed, if I look at the statistics for any given node (using the Track button) I can see activity being recorded?
Therefore, why does the "popular" view (accessed via the Navigation menu under "Popular content") fail to display anything? Both the "Popular content" and "Today's popular content" are blank.
Furthermore, I created my own simple view to list all nodes and their relative statistics (i.e. Views today and Total views) are they're all displaying 0 (zero).
I really need this feature to work so any thoughts/ideas/advice will be warmly appreciated.
Best wishes,
Ali

dawehnerThis view can fail because node_counter is empty.
Why could node_counter be empty?
For example you are using views to display a single node instead of using the default node/123 page. This problem is hard to reproduce because it's only specific to your site/your configuration/traffic to your site.

AliMartin commentedHi Dereine
Thanks for coming back so prompty :o)
I've just checked and node_counter is indeed empty.
I do have various views displaying either individual nodes, or groups of nodes as I lay out the site. But I've also accessed nodes via taxonomy links and so on, a whole variety of ways.
Am I therefore at a dead end (I hope not!) or is there hope?
Best,
Ali

merlinofchaos commentedUnder the access log settings you must enable "Count content views" in addition to the access log.

AliMartin commentedVery odd but it seems to have settled down and is working now.
I definitely had the "count content views" enabled. So I ended up uninstalling and re-installing the Statistics module and then re-enabling the access log settings and that seemed to kick start it into life.
Weird, but I'm a happy bunny now :o)
Many thanks for your help, much appreciated.
