Just a weeny one. This issue kinda relates to http://drupal.org/node/214199, but I wanted to get an issue logged against the code rather than the documentation.

When configuring my content type's Imagefield I have set a maximum resolution for images and a minimum resolution for images. The field desciption says "If a larger image is uploaded, it will be resized to reflect the given width and height" ( in the case of the maximum res field ). This works fine. However the edit form for the node still says "Images must be between 100x100 pixels and 1024x768" which is not actually true as anything outside these dimensions will be re-sized.

Thanks for maintaining an essential module.

Perhaps the best thing would be to merge this with #732908: No resize when using both max & min, which would make options for whether you want to scale oversize images or not. Then the setting would be reflected in the description of the upload field.

Fine. The more flexibility with resizing the better, as long as the field descriptions the user sees accurately reflect what can and can't be uploaded.
