I have the module setup / running. I am trying though to incorporate the Express Install that SWFObject supports. Right now, if a user does not have Flash installed or has a lower version of the flash player that is required they only see the Alternative Text message. It does not express install / upgrade player.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated as users are typically just not savy enough to know how to upgrade / install the Flash Player on their own.
Thanks

Stuart Greenfield commentedThis feature never got implemented in the 6.x-2.x module, but it is enabled in the forthcoming 6.x-3.x series.
Setting to Needs Review to track this as an item that will close when the release is made.

cspbm commentedThanks Stuart. With the current beta version for 6.x-3 how stable is it? I'm not looking to use it for video, playlists, etc. right now. Just Flash.

Stuart Greenfield commentedFor basic flash the beta should be fine - not much will change now there. It's the new things like playlists, profiles and Views that are still settling down!

cspbm commentedGreat! Thanks for getting back to me Stuart. I'll give it a try.

letapjar commentedExpress Install worked great for me in 6.3-Beta-5
One observation: the upgrade from 6.2X to 6.3 was a bit rocky (for me anyway). The locations where the module looks for the swfobject2.js file are different, and it was unclear to me that there are separate swfobject2 embed settings for 6.2 vs 6.3 - It took me ~1 hr to get my site's flash content working again after upgrading. Perhaps a head's up on the module's front page on D.O that tells folks to check their module settings would save people some time. (I guess the biggest surprise was that 6.2->6.3 requires a separate selection in the admin/build/modules section to get swfobject2 working properly - I did not expect that).
Thank You so much for implementing the express install feature - Adobe just came out with a new flash player release and this makes it so much smoother to ensure site users will see SWF content that takes advantage of the latest flash player features!

letapjar commentedOK just a quick update - it seems that express install works on internet explorer - but not on firefox (runnng on a linux box). NOt really sure how to trouble-shoot this further
