I'm getting a lot of whitespace in my meta description tags using the [metatags-description] token

for example:
<meta name="description" content="A Machian Brothers Production When: Friday, April 23, 2010 - 8:00pm - Saturday, April 24, 2010 - 1:00am Cost: Free Contact person: Event Details Details: Nomad Lounge will be hosting a screening of Omaha Never Looked So Good, a documentary on Omaha Fash" />

is it possible to strip out the extra whitespace - each space is contributing to the overall char limit in the settings which is limiting the amount of useful content displayed

I removed the setting for the extra spaces removal, which is now done automatically for all the meta tags.
