CVS edit link for phasma

I have been involved with logo and webdesign since about 2003 (http://wyltstyle.com for some reference work). In 2008 I "discovered" Drupal and the opportunities it holds for creating extensive web projects.
Consequently, I was playing around with its modules and themes for quite some time and began utilizing Drupal for a production website.
Meanwhile, I have put together an original theme which would like to make available to the community.

I've started working on this theme when I was in need of a 3 column theme with a newspaper-like appeal, a theme that would strike the right balance between white space and soft, contrasting elements. It should look clean, but not plain.

"German Newspaper" (http://drupal.org/project/german_newspaper) was far too bare and uninspired.
"The morning after" (http://drupal.org/project/tma) did look good at first but lacked any shaded areas for contrast as to guide the eye.
"Analytic" (http://drupal.org/project/analytic) was close in terms of the layout of its content elements, and the overall page design, but too colorful. Also, in all of them there was not footer space as required.

Hence, I began working from a copy of Analytic Theme, but pretty much changed everything: all graphics, all major css, pretty much all of the tpl.php files, except template.php and theme-settings.php.

I have put a block below the actual content area, but before the footer, intended to display the block for similar content where the visitor is likely to notice it and there is plenty of space for unobtrusive links in the footer, all to make sure there is a good flow of "link power" to other pages of the site when being indexed by search engine spiders.

The theme now features 3 fixed width columns, name, logo, slogan, a block in the center column after the content, a footer area with four columns and the actual footer line and user pictures on nodes and comments.

I can draw and design. As far as CSS and html are concerned, I believe to have a rather good knowledge, but only a basic understanding of php. I am not a programmer. Hence designing themes would be my way of contributing back to an open source project I like and hope to be working with in the future.

I hope you will consider my application.

Best regards
Thomas

Dear Drupal-Team,

I would like to submit the attached theme for review. I have attached a screenshot as well as the zipped files.
In parts it is based on a theme called "Analytics" (template.php and theme-settings.php are unchanged), but the overall layout is original.
Thanks.

Dear Drupal-Team,

This should be : Dear drupal Community :) We are a big community, and you are part of.

I'm not sure whether its good to create a theme where a module with the same name exists.

phptemplate_menu_local_tasks

I suggest to use yourthemename_menu_local_tasks, phptemplate is old d5 style.

Hello Community, hello dereine,

thank you for your response.
I guess you're right, there's a module by the same name and I've therefore change the theme's name. I've also changed the suggested line plus a few other things, which took the better part of the night:) But as I said, there probably many things to find out about along the way!

I've attached the zipped files plus a screenshot and hope you would find the time to review it.

For now, I'll go to bed though:)

Best regards and Tschüß from KL
Thomas

Afaik the css file should have /** $Id: $ */ But sure thats optional.

Scanning through the css file, it looks fine, fine, short selectors.
