Node Picker is pretty and I like it. It would be great if Node Picker was also compatible with the standalone CKEditor module, without relying on wysiwyg api/module. Currently there is no node picker type module that is working with CKEditor module. The linktocontent module suggested in the CKEditor readme isn't working.
I don't understand what's so great about using wysiwyg module/api anyway. I think it makes the process of getting a rich text editor set-up even more complex. You also lose all the great configuration admin screens that come with the standalone CKEditor module.

peter törnstrand commentedWith Wysiwyg module you can write plugins that are supported across multiple editors. Personally I have never understood what's so great about the stand alone editor modules (TinyMCE, CKEditor etc) :-)
However, I'm not a fundamentalist. If there is a demand for CKEditor support then there will be CKEditor support.

jrstmartin commentedThe standalone modules are a hellavalot more configurable through the admin screens. Try a quick comparison with CKEditor - hugeass diff.

momper commentedthe standalone version of CKEditor is so much more comfortable to use -> agree - it would be nice to have this feature

peter törnstrand commentedThis will be implemented as soon as I get some free time. I'll also accept patches...

peter törnstrand commentedThis feature is on hold. Chanses are it won't get implemented for the 6.x branch unless someone provides a patch.

omaster commentedI would really love this functionality. Has anyone looked into writing a patch for this?
Would be great to know what work has gone into it as I need this functionality. Maybe some of us can work together to complete this?
