I'm using modal dialogues and if I select the 'browse' button and then press 'abort' in the dialogue, then try to press browse again the screen will gray as if the dialogue is trying to pop up again, but the dialogue does not appear.

Version 1.0 is an alpha release and was unintentionally labelled as a full release. It's far from being stable, so I recommend you to switch to the latest 6.x-1.1-rc1 release.
