Under Drupal 7 Alpha 2, when running update I used to get:
Update #7002
* Failed: SQLSTATE[42S02]: Base table or view not found: 1146 Table 'margrit_drupal7_sandbox.blocks' doesn't exist
Now, after installing Alpha 3 (pointing to same database), running update.php I get:
The following updates returned messages
block module
Update #7002
* Failed: Cannot rename blocks to block: table blocks doesn't exist.
The Status Report tells me I need to fix the db schema, but when I run update I get the exact same thing.

damien tournoud commentedThanks for your testing, but 7.x to 7.x upgrades will only be supported when we reach the beta status.

dwwI know it's confusing, but "update.module" is for the part of core (added in 6.x) that checks for available updates to your modules and themes. You're talking about update.php, which is the "update system" component...

rodri3k commentedSame problem. Can you provide the SQL for Block table?
