Hi there,

I have an issue with this module.

I am in the audio bissiness, and need a "download" area on my website, which of only viewable to one pecific user. In essence, users will have a personal download page, where they can get their materials.

I made a new content type, on which this module is enabled, and i used a view of all members to be able to choose a username when creating content.

Also selected the "grant view" box on the content type field.

Now, when I create a new node in this content type, everything goes ok. I select the username I want to grant access, and all is fine.

except, when I logon using the authorised username, I get an access denied message.

So basicaly, I am really curious what I am doing wrong, if anything at all.

Did you rebuild permissions?

I actually rebuilt several times.

Hi Daniel.

I just uninstalled the module and claned cache rebuilt
menus etc.

Then reinstalled the module and created a new content type to use it with.

Again no luck.

Are there any modules which you know to be incompatible with this one?

I really do not understand.

Did anyone else experience this behavior?

Btw, I tried 1st time in d 1.15 and now 1.16. Both don't work.

What happens if you save the node, and then try to access the page again?

Its already saved!?

Sorry, I meant save the node again and test. It worked for me earlier as a temporary fix.

Like I stated earlier, I even removed the content type and created a new one to test.

Also tried re-saving nodes etc. yes.

It keeps giving me access denied.

Im really stuck with this.

I have tried everything, even reinstalled the module.

Are there any know reasons for this module not to work?

I keep getting access denied.

Does anyone know another way of accomplishing the same goal with another module otherwise?

You could try debugging with the devel access module.

Here is a module that might help too, but it may give too much access (??)

Or just use the old node access module, which puts the functionality in another tab rather than in a content field.
