As I've previously mentioned, I've been working through Sam's Teach Yourself Drupal in 24 Hours.

Throughout this book, they've been asking me to add modules to my Drupal solution. At this point, have about 47 modules in D:\education\php\drupal6\sites\all\modules, but not all of them are enabled.

My Drupal installation seems to be having issues with there being so many modules at its disposal. Actually, it began having issues about 20 or 30 modules ago. When I enable (or disable) a module and save the configuration, the next page often wouldn't (and now doesn't) render.

Once (while I still had 6.15 installed), not only didn't the next page render, but somehow I completely lost portions of the modules subsystem: if I went to Site Building, "Modules" was no longer listed on the page nor in the admin navigation menu and Drupal would no longer navigate directly to the page. Nor could I browse to the URL directly.

(Hence my present installation of 6.16.)

I'm guessing this could be a memory issue or an issue regarding server timeouts, though I'm not sure whether there is anything I can do about it since I'm using a hosted environment and don't have access to php.ini for this installation.
